Private Equity FP&A, Associate | Blackstone
The Tone:
This is a full-time Associate role at Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, which strengthens companies and delivers compelling returns for investors by managing over $1.3 trillion in assets across global investment strategies. This position within the Portfolio Management – Financial Planning & Analysis team is crucial for driving financial insights and reporting for the Private Equity segment. The role focuses on essential financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting, directly supporting strategic business initiatives and senior management decisions.

• Mission: To perform financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting for the Private Equity Segment, supporting strategic business initiatives and senior management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Forecasting: Lead and continually enhance the P&L forecasting process, focusing on revenue and earnings projections with associated sensitivities.
• Modeling: Construct and maintain comprehensive fund models for financial and capital metrics reporting, including NAV projections.
• New Product Support: Support all aspects of new fund launches, including creating and defining reporting and forecasting processes for new products.
• Technology Integration: Drive the integration of technology into the forecasting process, liaising with other FP&A teams and business functions for a coordinated approach.
• Management Reporting: Manage the preparation of presentations and memorandums for senior management, encompassing monthly reporting packages and ad hoc materials.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An undergraduate degree with a strong academic record, ideally in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a financial planning and analysis position; private equity experience is considered a plus.
• Skills: Excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, strong technical, analytical, financial modeling, and quantitative skills, along with the capability to transform raw data into actionable business insight.
• Bonus: Experience with Anaplan and Essbase.
