Financial Modelling Expert | Crossing Hurdles

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Crossing Hurdles, located remotely. Crossing Hurdles is focused on helping clients navigate and overcome complex financial challenges through expert analysis and strategic modeling. This position is central to delivering specialized financial analysis and strategic insights, specifically by building robust financial models and performing comprehensive valuations. The Financial Modeling Expert will be critical in supporting key business decisions and facilitating intricate transactions, directly contributing to the successful resolution of complex financial scenarios.

• Mission: To own the end-to-end development, operation, and enhancement of integrated financial models and to conduct comprehensive valuation analyses, providing critical insights and support for complex transactions and senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Modeling Development: Build, operate, and enhance integrated 3-statement financial models, operating models, and 13-week cash flow projections for diverse business needs.
• Valuation Analysis: Conduct comprehensive valuation analyses, including DCF with WACC build-out, trading comparables, and precedent transaction analyses, to determine fair market value.
• Deal Structuring: Develop and refine deal models such as LBOs, merger models, and accretion/dilution analyses to accurately evaluate transaction impacts and scenarios.
• Specialized Design: Design specialized financial models, including sale-leaseback, REIT conversion, and Net Asset Value (NAV) frameworks, tailored to specific financial structures and objectives.
• Strategic Insights & Support: Support complex transactions such as spin-offs, carve-outs, RMTs, and IP licensing structures, while also performing advanced due diligence and clearly communicating modeling assumptions, outputs, and strategic insights to senior stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with proven experience from top-tier firms in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, growth equity, or strategic finance roles.
• Experience: Strong hands-on experience with DCF, LBO, M&A, and industry-specific financial modeling methodologies.
• Skills: Expert proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring methodologies, specifically including integrated 3-statement models, DCF, LBOs, and M&A models; exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to simplify complex analyses and convey strategic insights to senior stakeholders; a strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to data integrity and the capability to perform detailed scenario analysis; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively within a remote, high-performance work environment.
