Financial Analyst – Finance/Fuel | Circle K

This is an in-person role at Circle K, an organization with global analytical initiatives focused on optimizing Finance and Fuel operations across various business units. This position is vital for driving data-driven decision-making by providing timely insights and analysis of performance across the company’s extensive network. The role directly impacts operational excellence and strategic financial planning by transforming complex data into actionable recommendations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze Finance/Fuel performance at department, cluster, vendor, items, and location levels, including store, regional, and business performance and metrics.
• Visualize: Organize, summarize, and visualize complex data into meaningful insights that communicate findings effectively to non-analytical peers.
• Improve: Work with cross-functional partners to identify gaps and make recommendations to improve existing Finance/Fuel tools and processes.
• Develop: Use technical expertise to conceptualize and develop new, reusable tools, models, and approaches to provide partners with insights and recommendations.
• Support: Actively support the Finance Manager on the annual Budget Planning Process and analyze, research, and correct fuel variances by partnering with Operations and Fuel Accounting.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related subject area.
• Experience: 2+ years of work experience in data analysis. Experience working with individuals from different organizational functions and at different levels.
• Skills: Demonstrated outstanding analytic skills, logical reasoning, data interpretation, and the ability to resolve complex issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and other data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau). Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Bonus: Experience in SQL/Enterprise Management Software (Longview) is a plus. Retail experience is an asset.
