Financial Cost Analysist | BAE Systems, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time, entry-level Financial Cost Analyst role at BAE Systems, Inc., located in Fort Wayne, IN. This position operates on a hybrid basis, balancing collaborative in-person work with independent remote contributions. • Mission: Support multiple financial functional areas and perform essential cost analysis to achieve program objectives for an international manufacturing facility, ensuring sound financial management and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Provide comprehensive support across various financial functional areas within the business, specifically including Fixed Assets, Government Property, and Cost Accounting.
• Analyze: Perform detailed cost analysis to support project execution and help achieve specific program objectives for an international manufacturing facility.
• Administer: Coordinate and support the robust administration of the company’s capital budget, overseeing related activities and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
• Manage: Coordinate and support all aspects of government property and material, including accurate record keeping, proper disposition, required reporting, and adherence to auditing requirements.
• Report: Design and build various ad hoc management cost reports, providing crucial financial insights and data to support decision-making processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong experience utilizing Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Must possess strong problem-solving capabilities, analytical thinking, and in-depth research skills; able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; self-motivated with a bias for action and results-oriented; capable of prioritizing and managing a multitasked workload in a fast-paced environment; able to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures; detail-oriented with meticulous record-keeping skills.
• Bonus: Prior experience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion systems; previous experience with Capital Management or Fixed Asset administration.
