What You’ll Actually Do
• Model Analysis: Review and analyze complex real estate financial models to understand underlying assumptions and structures.
• Market Research: Conduct thorough market and financial research on real estate supply, demand, pricing, and investment parameters, including in-market interviews and data confirmation.
• Valuation Support: Assist Associates and Officers in preparing complex cash flow models using Excel and ARGUS software to estimate revenues, costs, and rates of return.
• Investment Valuation: Estimate the value of real estate investments across various levels of the capital stack, including asset-level, equity, preferred equity, and debt valuations.
• Reporting & Presentations: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal teams and clients, including both graphic and written sections.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with a strong interest in real estate advisory work and valuation consulting.
• Experience: 2-3 years of real estate industry experience, with a preference towards direct real estate valuation experience demonstrating analytical capabilities.
• Skills: Proficiency with Excel, including modeling and macros; experience in ARGUS; strong analytical abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Bonus: Undergraduate coursework in real estate finance, real estate valuation, or related fields; knowledge of real estate valuation theory, methodologies, and applications; possession of or progress towards real estate industry certification licenses (e.g., MAI, CCIM, certified general real estate appraiser); CPA, CFA, or other financial credentials; willingness to travel.
