Financial Analyst, FP&A | Serena & Lily

The Tone:
This is a HYBRID role at Serena & Lily, located in Sausalito, CA. Serena & Lily is a fast-growing home furnishings brand. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this position offers an outstanding opportunity to understand and influence the retail and e-commerce business. The role is critical for enabling business partners and executive leadership to make timely and informed decisions, contributing to desired financial results.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Budgeting: Lead analysis to support the development and maintenance of the company budget.
• Financial Reporting: Create and maintain dashboards for monthly financial packages to the Board of Directors and weekly internal meetings.
• Business Partner Support: Prepare and present analysis highlighting key trends and insights across functional areas, and develop reporting to help business partners manage and track performance to goals.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and report on financial Key Performance Indicators.
• Process Improvement: Identify and investigate opportunities to improve the team’s processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in investment banking, financial analysis, or FP&A, with specific experience in the consumer retail or e-commerce industry.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables), analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Bonus: Experience with NetSuite or other ERP solutions, particularly budgeting and planning modules.
