The Tone:
This is a direct-hire role through Belcan, located in Dillon, SC, supporting a leading aerospace and industrial manufacturing organization. This organization builds specialized products for the aerospace and industrial sectors, making this Financial Analyst role crucial for ensuring operational efficiency and fiscal health. This position offers a unique opportunity for an analytical and self-directed finance professional to directly influence plant performance by providing comprehensive financial analysis, cost accounting, and FP&A support. You will gain broader responsibility than a traditional corporate Financial Analyst, working closely with manufacturing operations to make a visible impact on performance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare and distribute daily plant financial and operational reporting, including labor, production, and P&L information for senior leadership review.
• Analysis: Analyze balance sheet and income statement variances, identify root causes, and prepare executive-level summaries for division and corporate leadership.
• Forecasting: Support annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and consolidation activities, while also assisting with month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Cost Management: Perform product costing, cost analysis, and operational performance reporting, partnering with operations on scrap disposition and cost-saving initiatives.
• Compliance: Support SOX reporting, internal controls, and testing requirements, including inventory reporting, physical inventory counts, and shop-floor observations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related business discipline.
• Experience: At least two years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, or financial analysis, with experience analyzing financial statements, operating results, and account variances.
• Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles, proficient Microsoft Excel skills, strong written and verbal communication, analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Bonus: Financial analysis or accounting experience within manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, metals, forging, or another industrial environment, Oracle ERP experience, cost accounting or plant finance experience, inventory accounting and physical inventory processes experience, SOX compliance or internal controls experience, exposure to SQL or SAS, or experience improving financial reporting or business processes.
