Tech Equities Investment Banking Analyst I/II (NYC) | Raymond James

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Development: Formulate comprehensive new business proposals, actively participating in their development and presentation to secure new client engagements within the tech equities sector.
• Financial Analysis & Valuation: Develop accurate company forecasts and valuations, providing essential financial modeling input for business cases, costs, and schedules to support growth and strategic decision-making. This involves collating and analyzing data using preset tools and methods.
• Strategic Scenario Evaluation: Evaluate complex merger and acquisition scenarios, interpreting data and identifying possible answers by navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.
• Transaction Documentation: Prepare detailed documents related to the public and private issuance of stock, organizing complex information using various applications and technology devices, and gathering data for special reports.
• Due Diligence & Process Support: Work on every aspect of the transaction process, which includes participating in critical drafting sessions and conducting thorough due diligence meetings to ensure robust outcomes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree is required, specifically in Business Administration or Finance, providing a foundational understanding of financial markets and business operations.
• Experience: Possess general work experience ranging from 13 months to 3 years, demonstrating initial professional capabilities and an understanding of workplace dynamics.
• Skills:
• Data Trend Analysis: Ability to determine and thoroughly analyze trends from collected data, compiling comprehensive reports that significantly assist in decision-making processes.
• Analytical Process Application: Proficiency in applying appropriate analytical processes and procedures to effectively support research schedules and project timelines.
• Data Interpretation & Conclusion Drawing: Expertly interpret complex data by examining patterns, identifying trends, understanding relationships, and assessing implications to draw meaningful conclusions and answer critical business questions.
• Financial Information Interpretation: Capacity to professionally interpret diverse financial information, translating it into actionable insights to directly support strategic business decision making.
