Financial Analyst Intern | Teleflex

The Tone:
This is a paid internship at Teleflex, located in Wayne, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. Teleflex is a global provider of medical technologies, driven by its purpose to improve the health and quality of people’s lives. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of a medical device company while gaining hands-on experience in a corporate setting. The intern will provide essential financial guidance to the Vascular Access and Emergency Medicine (VEM) Business Unit through planning, analysis, and general accounting.

• Type: Part-time (20 hours a week for one year, potential for extension)

• Team: Vascular Access and Emergency Medicine (VEM) Business Unit
• Mission: Provide financial guidance to the VEM Business Unit through financial planning, analysis, and general accounting.
• Tech Stack: SAP (preferred), Power BI (preferred), Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel).

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Planning & Budgeting: Participate in the forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Compliance Audits: Perform quarterly audits to ensure adherence to Travel and Purchasing Card Policies.
• Reporting Enhancement: Provide enhancements to reporting through automation.
• Ad-hoc Support: Assist with ad-hoc reporting requirements and special projects as they arise.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Rising junior or senior enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Analytics/Business or a related field, and in good academic standing.
• Experience: Basic accounting/finance/business courses are required, with intermediate courses preferred, along with a basic understanding of balance sheets and income statements.
• Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel; and the ability to think independently, take initiative, and problem-solve.
• Bonus: SAP and Power BI experience is preferred, though training can be provided within the role.
