Financial Analyst II – FP&A | GEICO

This Financial Analyst II position is critical for the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) division, specifically within the Agency and Specialty Finance team. What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare key reports and assist in generating new analysis and reporting to support critical business decisions.
• Modeling: Develop standard and ad-hoc financial models of moderate complexity.
• Analysis: Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing results with plans and forecasts to monitor variances and identify trends.
• Performance Tracking: Assist in the preparation of financial dashboards and reporting of key performance indicators using accurate and quality data.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation in reporting, forecasting, and analysis that drive continuous improvement and process efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field. This position is suited for an early career professional seeking to develop expertise in financial planning and analysis within a large corporate environment.
• Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in FP&A, Finance, Accounting, or a similar financial discipline, demonstrating a foundational understanding of financial operations and reporting.
• Skills: Moderate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, essential for preparing complex models, reports, and analyses; includes strong data manipulation and presentation capabilities.
• Bonus: Beneficial but not required qualifications include prior experience within the insurance industry. Additionally, knowledge of analytical tools such as SQL, Power BI, or enterprise performance management systems like Oracle EPM would be advantageous for driving automation and deeper insights.
