What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze financial operations and information to provide decision support to executive staff.
• Forecast: Support the organization’s 10-year financial forecast and develop and maintain three-statement financial models (balance sheet, cash flow statement, and income statement).
• Report: Prepare, analyze, and communicate key financial information, assisting with budget preparation, budget review for compliance, and financial reporting.
• Support: Provide support to management and other caregivers regarding financial reporting and related issues, consulting with all levels of management for decision support.
• Project: Perform special projects and duties related to research, forecasting, and conflict resolution.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Two years of financial, revenue cycle management, or general analytical experience; alternatively, one year of experience with a Master’s degree or as a Cleveland Clinic Finance Fellow.
• Skills: Advanced Excel analysis, experience with three-statement financial models, and proficiency in forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Bonus: Master’s degree, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification, healthcare experience, SQL/coding experience, Strata experience, or exposure to accounting and financial concepts including balance sheets.
