The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Planning: Contribute to the development of comprehensive financial plans for the Hose Products Division (HPD), encompassing both division-wide strategies and specific plant-level requirements. This planning supports the division’s business growth and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Budget Management: Coordinate the corporate administrative budget process, including its implementation and thorough analysis. This involves ensuring budgetary adherence and identifying areas for optimization to support overall financial health.
• Process Enhancement: Proactively identify and initiate improvements within existing budgeting and financial reporting processes. This role seeks to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the overall quality of financial data and insights for stakeholders.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed monthly, month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for various stakeholders. Additionally, assist in the ongoing financial analysis of operating groups on a monthly basis, interpreting complex data sets to generate actionable insights.
• Operational Support & Special Projects: Monitor orders and shipments, prepare the year-end analysis book, handle accounting for GDP, and contribute to special projects as needed. This role also provides assistance with general accounting responsibilities to support the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting is required for this position. This foundational knowledge will be crucial for performing in-depth financial analyses and understanding complex financial data within the Hose Products Division.
• Experience: Candidates should possess 3 to 5 years of direct accounting experience. This practical experience is essential for handling financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis tasks, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
• Skills: Proficiency in core computer applications is necessary, specifically strong command of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard Microsoft applications. These skills are vital for report creation, data interpretation, and effectively communicating financial findings.
• Bonus: Prior experience with Access database and Power BI is preferred. Familiarity with these tools will be an advantage for interpreting complex data sets, generating actionable insights, and enhancing reporting capabilities.
