FINANCE ANALYST | Mohawk Industries

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, located in Dallas, TX. Mohawk Industries is the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and effective financial reporting across multiple regions, managing fixed asset capitalization, and providing essential ad-hoc analysis to support business needs. • Mission: Own accurate financial reporting, capital expenditure management, and analytical support across multiple locations to align with Executive Management’s expectations.
• Tech Stack: Advanced spreadsheets, Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and distribute comprehensive monthly regional financial reporting packages for multiple locations.
• Data Integrity: Maintain a deep understanding of regional business context to guarantee all financial reporting is accurate, compliant, and aligned with Executive Management’s expectations.
• Variance Analysis: Respond to inquiries regarding financial results by conducting deep-dive research and recommend adjustments.
• Strategic Partnership: Work closely with regional management teams and sales leadership to address reporting inquiries, provide deeper analysis, and deliver actionable financial feedback.
• Asset Capitalization: Execute the capitalization of Fixed Assets associated with new site openings and facility relocations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: 0-2 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Skills: Good Excel skills, including the ability to perform Excel modeling; ability to learn several systems and extract data; critical thinking to find solutions; ability to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines.
• Bonus: Capacity to work both independently and as a key member of cross-functional teams, at times in a project management role; appreciation for process efficiencies.
