This position is vital for combining core accounting responsibilities with financial analysis, budgeting support, and process improvement initiatives. The role supports both the month-end close process and provides critical management reporting and analysis, directly impacting financial reporting and business decision-making.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Close: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Analysis: Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on financial results and trends.
• Planning: Support budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with leadership.
• Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience: 2–5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a hybrid general ledger/financial planning & analysis role, including experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Skills: Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets, an analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Bonus: Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis; manufacturing or cost accounting experience.
