Tech Equities Investment Banking Analyst I/II | Raymond James
The Tone:
This is a full-time, resident role at Raymond James, located in NYC. Raymond James operates as a significant investment banking firm, actively engaged in formulating new business proposals, developing company forecasts and valuations, and evaluating complex merger and acquisition scenarios. This role is fundamental to the Tech Equities division, providing essential support across all phases of the transaction process, from initial drafting sessions to due diligence meetings, ensuring successful outcomes for public and private stock issuances.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Propose: Formulate new business proposals and evaluate complex merger and acquisition scenarios.
• Analyze: Develop comprehensive company forecasts and valuations through independent data collation and analysis using preset tools and methods.
• Model: Provide basic financial modeling input for business cases, costs, and schedules to support business growth initiatives.
• Document: Prepare and organize complex documents for public and private stock issuance, leveraging a variety of technology applications.
• Report: Gather and summarize data for special reports and interpret findings to identify potential answers, navigating various processes and precedents.
• Contribute: Participate actively in all phases of the transaction process, including drafting sessions, new business proposals, and due diligence meetings.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 13 months to 3 years of general work experience.
• Skills:
• Analytical Skills: Determine and analyze trends from collected data to compile reports for informed decision-making.
• Data Interpretation: Interpret data by examining patterns, trends, relationships, and implications to draw meaningful conclusions and answer critical questions.
• Financial Acumen: Professionally interpret financial information to effectively support business decision-making processes.
• Procedural Application: Apply appropriate analytical processes and procedures to efficiently support established research schedules.
