Financial Analyst | LHH

The Tone:
This is a full-time Financial Analyst role at LHH, based in Sacramento, CA, requiring 100% on-site presence. LHH is a well-established and growing organization in the Sacramento area, offering a stable environment. This pivotal role is responsible for supporting crucial financial operations including robust reporting, in-depth analysis, comprehensive budgeting, and forward-looking forecasting. The Financial Analyst will also lead process improvement initiatives, ultimately helping to make a tangible impact through detailed financial analysis and by providing strategic insights to support key business decisions made by leadership.

The TL;DR

• Tech Stack: Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), ERP

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Systematically prepare accurate account reconciliations and develop comprehensive financial reports that provide transparent views of financial performance and position.
• Data Analysis: Conduct meticulous analysis of complex financial data, identifying critical trends, pinpointing significant variances, and providing clear explanations and insights to stakeholders.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Actively support and contribute to the organization’s overarching budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring the integrity and strategic alignment of financial plans.
• Process Improvement: Proactively develop, recommend, and implement enhancements to existing accounting and financial procedures, aiming for increased efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Special Projects: Manage and complete diverse ad hoc reporting requests and execute special projects, delivering precise and timely financial information to address specific business needs and strategic inquiries.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, demonstrating a deep and strong foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial theory.
• Experience: Possess 3-5 years of progressive professional experience in a relevant accounting, finance, or analyst capacity, with practical experience utilizing various ERP systems.
• Skills: Exhibit advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including expert application of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs. Additionally, showcase strong analytical acumen, exceptional organizational abilities, and effective communication skills for presenting complex financial information.
• Bonus: Preferred candidates will possess specific prior experience and familiarity with the SAP ERP system, enabling a quicker integration into the team’s operational processes.
