Financial Analyst | Ohmite Manufacturing

The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at Ohmite Manufacturing, offering three days in the office and two days remote. Ohmite designs and manufactures industry-leading resistor and electronic component solutions that support various applications across industrial, energy, transportation, and emerging technology markets. This position is vital for providing financial guidance, leadership, and advisory to the manufacturing facility management team. The Financial Analyst will ensure effective and timely financial reporting, financial metrics, and internal controls, directly contributing to the company’s strategic growth initiatives.

• Team: Reports directly to the Global Accounting Manager, works closely with VP of Global Finance.
• Mission: Drive effective and timely financial reporting, financial metrics, and internal controls across the organization, providing financial guidance and advisory to manufacturing facility management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Close & Reporting: Work with local accounting teams to manage monthly and quarterly financial close processes, reporting on Ohmite’s performance by product and customer.
• Internal Controls: Ensure an effective system of internal controls, covering data integrity, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems, and adherence to corporate policies.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze performance to identify variances, margin leakage, and statistical trends, assessing potential opportunities and risks for the business.
• Strategic Financial Modeling: Develop financial models and insights for strategic deep dives on topics such as forecasts, return on investment of strategic initiatives, and resource allocation.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Serve as a key member of the Global Budget and Forecasting cycles, supporting weekly flash reporting for revenue, bookings, backlog, cash flow, and quarter-ahead forecasts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a relevant discipline. You should possess strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability, accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles.
• Experience: 2-5 years in a progressive accounting or finance environment, including providing leadership in manufacturing operations for planning, savings, forecasting, budgeting, and investment analysis. Experience should also include ERP implementation and integration, delivering continuous improvement, and participating in the development of strategic plans.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, outstanding communication (both oral and written), ability to build and deliver effective presentations, and a demonstrated ability to teach and communicate complex financial concepts in simple terms.
• Bonus: MBA bound and/or CPA bound preferred. Financial reporting experience is preferred. Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus.
