• Mission: This role is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and communicating essential financial information, identifying trends, and performing accurate financial forecasting to deliver actionable insights that improve organizational revenue and earnings.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft applications, Excel (including pivots, V-lookups, macros).

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Perform duties related to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closes, ensuring accurate recording for organizational reports.
• Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and conducting monthly and quarterly financial forecasts using historical trends and forward-looking insights for senior leadership.
• Business Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to provide insights into monthly results, identify opportunities, and enhance their decision-making abilities through analytics.
• Performance Analysis: Deliver clear analyses of profit and loss variance trends and causes, translating findings into recommendations that align with company business goals.
• Process Improvement: Work closely with Finance leadership to identify and implement new and improved finance processes to ensure data integrity and efficient analyses.
• Ad-hoc Modeling: Conduct specialized business analyses and develop financial models to address specific organizational needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree with foundational knowledge gained through 3 years of related professional experience.
• Experience: At least three years of professional experience performing financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting within an organizational setting.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in PC and Microsoft applications is essential, with demonstrated expertise in Excel, including the use of pivots, V-lookups, and macros for complex data analysis.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree specifically in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline is preferred, along with prior experience in the insurance industry.
