Financial Analyst | Gulfstream Aerospace
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Gulfstream Aerospace, located in Mesa. Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, designs, develops, manufactures, markets, services, and supports technologically-advanced business jet aircraft. This position is vital within a high-growth facility, playing a key role in developing and analyzing operational budgets and forecasts. The role directly supports company goals and strategic initiatives through comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.

• Mission: Develop operational business area budgets and forecasts, perform ongoing analysis and reporting of actual performance, and provide general financial analysis in support of company goals and strategic initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Budget Development: Assist department and financial management in preparing annual budgets and projections.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze financial performance against budget and business plans, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely reports on actual financial performance versus budgets and forecasts.
• Data Management: Compile financial information to develop budgets, pinpoint major variances, and ensure the accuracy of actual data.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate cross-functionally with outside stakeholders and effectively organize information for presentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Two years of experience with increasing financial responsibility, including collaborating cross-functionally with outside stakeholders.
• Skills: Use of data visualization and analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau; strong business acumen; detail-oriented with the ability to plan, prioritize, and make decisions on multiple time-sensitive projects; strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; teamwork and collaboration.
• Bonus: Master’s Degree or other certifications preferred; a curious, confident, and analytical individual; a flexible self-starter excited to build and lead within a high-growth facility.
