What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis for management and external agencies, including charts and diagrams showing financial results for comparison and evaluation.
• System Utilization: Utilize various financial information systems to prepare financial analysis and assist staff in reviewing operational procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Departmental Support: Develop relationships with assigned department managers and administrative staff, providing technical support regarding budgeting systems and procedures, and resolving variance problems.
• Budget Monitoring: Monitor budget expenditures, prepare trend reports and analysis, and compile budgetary and fiscal data from assigned departments to assist in developing and presenting fiscal data.
• Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies, as well as GAAP, GASB, and FASB standards.

• Background: Entry-level professional position requiring a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: No previous professional experience is required.
• Skills: Ability to research, retrieve, and organize data to prepare reports and financial documentation, along with the capacity to analyze and audit data.
