What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare operating budgets, financial forecasts, and comprehensive variance analyses specifically for logistics and transportation operations.
• Monitor and analyze various operating expenses, including fuel, transportation, labor, maintenance, and insurance costs.
• Develop sophisticated financial models using Microsoft Excel to support in-depth cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and management dashboards that provide critical insights into operational and financial performance.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to inform strategic pricing decisions, evaluate contracts, and support broader business planning initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Quantitative Finance, or a closely related field. This is an Entry-Level career opportunity.
• Experience: At least 6 months of professional experience as a Financial Analyst, specifically within the logistics or transportation industry.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis is required. Familiarity with logistics cost structures, such as transportation, fuel, labor, and general operating expenses.
