Financial Analyst | Dauch

This role is vital for maintaining the organization’s financial health and compliance by managing accounting activities, financial reporting, and supporting critical financial planning processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Support the organization’s accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting, ensuring adherence to GAAP, organizational standards, and Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze current and past financial data and performance to prepare comprehensive reports and projections for internal and external use.
• Financial Planning: Develop monthly financial forecasts, the annual budget, and the long-range financial plan (LRFP) to guide organizational strategy.
• Closing Activities: Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to the organization’s financial performance, analysis, and reporting.
• Strategic Insights: Identify trends in financial performance, provide actionable recommendations for improvement, and evaluate capital expenditures, depreciation, and investment opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field, establishing foundational knowledge in financial principles.
• Experience: Prior professional experience in a Financial Analyst role, which includes valuable insights gained from internships or co-ops.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and presentation; a strong understanding of GAAP and SOX 404 compliance.
