What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for management and external agencies, including charts and diagrams showing prior, current, and projected financial results.
• System Utilization: Utilize various financial information systems and data visualization tools to perform financial analysis and assist staff in reviewing operational procedures to improve efficiency.
• Departmental Support: Develop relationships with assigned department managers to assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, resolve budget variances, and provide technical support.
• Budget Management: Monitor budget expenditures, compile budgetary and fiscal data, prepare reports on trends, and assist in the development and presentation of fiscal data for assigned departments.
• Compliance: Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies, as well as GAAP, GASB, and FASB standards.

• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field. Entry-level professional position.
• Experience: No previous experience required.
• Skills: Research, retrieve, and organize data to prepare reports and financial documentation; analyze and audit data.
