What You’ll Actually Do
• Budget Management: Participate in determining fiscal resource allocation, prepare analyses and reports, and provide account management for Clinical Trials, including updating budget estimates and approving fund reallocations.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Create daily, monthly, annual, and project-end analyses and reports, perform financial account reconciliations, and support annual audit workpapers and quarterly financial statements.
• Transaction Processing & Review: Review, approve, analyze, and classify financial transactions, create new accounts, process and reconcile transactions, and troubleshoot related problems.
• Grant & Award Financial Oversight: Work with department administrators on financial grants management issues for Industry Sponsored Clinical Trials, monitor commitments and expenditures for compliance, and verify sponsored project account setups.
• Special Project & Administrative Support: Identify data sources for special financial projects, analyze ad hoc reports, and perform general office support activities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience where similar knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired.
• Experience: Two years of financial administration work experience; OR two years of experience in financial, budgeting, and/or preparing account reconciliations or financial statements along with financial analysis.
• Skills: Intermediate Knowledge of Excel.
