About Wells Fargo Finance Internship Program

Wells Fargo is a leading financial services company with a wide range of offerings including Commercial Banking, Consumer, Small and Business Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, Wealth & Investment Management, Controllers Division, Chief Operating Office & Corporate Functions Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Portfolio, Investor Relations, Technology Finance, Treasury, and Consumer Lending, Global Treasury Management & Strategic Finance.

The Finance Internship Program is a 10-week summer program designed for undergraduate students to gain a comprehensive understanding of Wells Fargo’s operations, business strategies, and organizational culture. This program offers a blend of business and professional development opportunities with real-world experiences to prepare participants for a career in finance at Wells Fargo.

Program Overview

• Experiences: Participants will gain experience across various finance disciplines while supporting Wells Fargo’s expectations.
• Formal Training: The program includes onboarding and orientation activities, as well as ongoing training throughout the program to prepare for a career in finance at Wells Fargo.
• Coaching and Networking: Participants will receive coaching and mentorship to support their professional development.
• Exposure: The program offers exposure to multiple business lines and finance-related responsibilities.

Job Description

The ideal candidate for this program:

• Must be able to collaborate as part of a team or committee.
• Must be highly motivated and detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to organize tasks, manage time, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Must be a proactive self-starter who takes initiative, remains curious, and demonstrates a genuine interest in learning and growth.
• Must be able to articulate clearly and succinctly.
• Must have demonstrated problem analysis and solving skills.
• Must be able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Basic proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, SQL, and/or other analytics tools.
• Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities such as volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad programs, leadership positions, or non-profit involvement.
• Pursing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Applied Math, or Business Administration/Business Management. All majors are welcome.
• Demonstrated knowledge, interests, and/or experience in the financial services industry, corporate accounting, managing data and reporting, data visualization, and/or data analytics.

Program Duration: 10 weeks, June-August 2025 (exact dates TBD and subject to change).
