Finance Manager | Strava

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Strava, located in San Francisco, CA. Strava is an app for active people, building a global community where athletes track workouts, make progress, and achieve their goals. This role is a high-impact opportunity to drive the financial picture behind one of Strava’s most important growth areas as the company scales its global consumer subscription business. You will shape investment understanding and build analysis for critical financial decisions, partnering with senior leaders.

• Team: Product Finance pillar of the FP&A team, focused on revenue and marketing investments.
• Mission: Drive the financial analysis for a core part of Strava’s subscription business, maintaining revenue models and informing forecast decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Partnership: Serve as a key finance partner for a core business area, becoming fluent in its drivers and acting as a trusted contact for leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Analysis: Monitor and analyze business performance, identifying trends and translating findings into clear recommendations for senior management.
• Modeling: Build and maintain driver-based financial models across various time horizons.
• Visibility: Drive visibility into core business trends for senior leadership, influencing executive-level decisions.
• Strategy: Partner cross-functionally to transform financial analysis into strategic decisions, surfacing performance and investment trade-offs for key stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level, with experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting.
• Experience: 4+ years in finance or a related analytical field, including experience aligning distributed stakeholders across time zones (e.g., London office).
• Skills: Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills to synthesize complex financial information for diverse audiences, and a self-starter mindset for managing competing priorities in a high-growth environment.
