Finance Manager – Corporate Accounting (Compensation) | Millennium

The Tone:

The Finance Manager will manage critical compensation accounting processes across management companies, ensuring accurate financial reporting and control over employee-related costs.

• Team: Finance Department, leading a team of Bengaluru based analysts and collaborating with HR, external auditors, and finance stakeholders across Asia, Europe, and New York.
• Mission: To manage compensation accounting processes across management companies, ensuring accurate reporting and control of global employee-related costs.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Alteryx, general AI knowledge, accounting software, Oracle

What You’ll Actually Do
• Review Closure: Review the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for global compensation-related accounting across management companies.
• Oversee Accounting: Oversee accounting for payroll, bonuses, deferred compensation, benefits, agency fees, and other employee-related costs.
• Reconciliation & Variances: Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared, reviewed, and fully substantiated for compensation-related accounts, and investigate income statement variances to ensure accurate reporting.
• Team Management: Manage, coach, and develop Bengaluru based analysts, including reviewing their deliverables, prioritizing tasks, and supporting their ongoing development.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation across compensation accounting activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Chartered Accountant, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Experience: 12+ years of relevant post-qualification experience in corporate accounting, controllership, compensation accounting, payroll accounting, or financial reporting.
• Skills: Excellent analytical skills; strong oral and written communication; exceptional time management with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines; strong attention to detail and adherence to strict confidentiality; proactive individual with strong interpersonal and client service skills; technical proficiency in Excel, Alteryx, and general AI knowledge, with familiarity with accounting software.
• Bonus: Good knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP; experience with global payroll accounting, compensation accruals, and agency or vendor fee accounting; familiarity with Oracle accounting software.
