The Tone:
This is a hybrid finance internship at Collins Aerospace, located in Largo, FL. Collins Aerospace, an RTX Corporation, is a leader in advanced systems and services for commercial, military, and government customers worldwide. This role is a key entry-level position within the Operations Finance team, providing crucial cost and schedule analysis support for programs and helping to shape the future of aerospace and defense.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Partnership: Partner with Operations and Program office functional teams to influence decisions for successful production and depot contract execution.
• Analysis: Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly variance analysis, identifying key cost, schedule, and performance drivers.
• Insights: Analyze program financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, then communicate these insights to program leadership.
• Reporting: Prepare and analyze Quarterly Estimate at Completions (EACs), including detailed variance analysis, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaboration: Interface with multiple cross-functional teammates and internal customers across different locations and time zones.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, and/or Economics, and remain actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session. Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship.
• Experience: Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Skills: An excellent communicator with a desire to learn and be challenged while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience is preferred. Relevant experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
