Job Description: Finance Internship (Summer 2024)
This is a 10-week summer internship offering real-world experience and networking opportunities with Coca-Cola leaders. The internship may involve work in the following areas:
• Commercial Finance: Analyzing financial aspects of commercial activities.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Supporting the planning and analysis of the company’s financial performance.
• Financial Modeling: Building and using financial models to forecast and analyze various scenarios.
• Data & Reporting: Working with financial data, creating reports, and drawing insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Introduction to Coca-Cola Systems: Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Coca-Cola system, its North American operating unit, and its corporate and commercial finance practices, systems, and tools.
• Financial Analysis Support: Providing support in monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes related to bottler and/or customer revenue and costs.
• Financial Modeling Support: Contributing to financial modeling for special projects and initiatives.
• Project Assignment: Participating in projects focused on modernizing, automating, and digitizing reporting and financial tools and systems.
• Market Research: Conducting research on macroeconomic factors to aid in price planning and execution for the upcoming year.
Education Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Graduation date no earlier than December 2024.
Functional Skills:
• Strong analytical and financial skills: A solid grasp of financial concepts and the ability to analyze financial data.
• Understanding of business financial metrics: Familiarity with key metrics such as price, cost of goods sold, and margin.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial modeling: Ability to use Excel effectively and build financial models.
• Strong collaboration skills: Ability to work effectively with others across different teams and stakeholders.
• Data analysis skills: Ability to review financial information, draw insights, manage data, work with complex worksheets and financial calculations, and develop business analyses.
• Understanding of financial terms and methodologies: A solid foundational knowledge of financial terminology and analytical techniques.
• Strong background in Mathematics, Finance, Data, and Data Analytics: Demonstrated proficiency in these areas.
• Organization skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
