Job Description: Finance Internship
Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a Finance Internship program, a 10-12 week opportunity designed for business students. This internship serves as a pipeline for their Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP). Interns are assigned projects based on their skills and the company’s current needs. These projects are strategically and operationally important to the relevant business unit and are developed by senior leadership.
The internship involves:
• Working on projects with significant strategic and/or operational importance.
• Gaining exposure to diverse functional areas, business units, products/services, and regions within Thermo Fisher.
• Contributing to areas such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Cost Accounting (Manufacturing), Commercial Finance, Strategic Pricing, General Accounting, Division Finance, Corporate Development Finance, and Data and Analytics.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate student (rising senior) pursuing a Business-related degree, graduating between December 2025 and June 2026.
• 0 years of work experience required (previous internships preferred).
• Demonstrated track record of results, integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.
• Ability to champion change, achieve results, and navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
• Geographic flexibility (potential locations include Boston metro, Pittsburgh & Center Valley, PA, Raleigh, Greenville & Wilmington, NC, and Carlsbad, CA).
Program Details:
• Start Date: May 12th or June 16th, 2025 (10-12 weeks, depending on academic calendars).
• Compensation: hourly rate between $21.50 – $28.75, dependent on location (aligned with cost-of-living guidelines).
• Relocation Stipend: $5,000 offered if necessary (student must live 50+ miles from the internship location).
