Job Description: Finance Internship

This 12-week internship offers the opportunity to work closely with one of Blue Origin’s business units, providing analytical support to inform leadership decision-making on finance-related projects. The internship is full-time and requires availability for the entire 12-week duration without concurrent coursework.

Responsibilities may include:

• Shaping company and program strategic objectives.
• Mapping and understanding the industry landscape and competitive dynamics.
• Gathering and synthesizing market research to inform strategy decisions.
• Developing and delivering content for strategic reviews with leadership.
• Building and maintaining tools, analyses, and reports to highlight internal metrics and key market information.
• Developing business cases to advise on investment decisions.
• Assessing program economics, modeling financial outlook, and tracking key performance indicators.
• Collaborating with all departments to ensure alignment on and execution of strategic recommendations.
• Partnering with business units on inorganic growth opportunities, including financial analysis, due diligence, deal structuring, and valuation.
• Supporting long-term financial and strategic planning processes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with at least one semester or quarter remaining after the internship.
Strong quantitative skill set and attention to detail.
Strong ability to structure and apply analytical frameworks to solve problems.
Aptitude for teamwork with shown potential for leadership.
Strong written communication and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Available to work full time for the duration of the internship while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.

Desired Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or other highly analytical field.
• Demonstrated leadership in a professional setting to deliver results with a positive material impact.
• Understanding of the private space industry.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.

Compensation: $25.73 hourly for on-site WA applicants. Other site ranges may differ.
