About the Job:
This internship within ESPN Finance provides support to operational teams by delivering accurate and timely financial analysis for current and future business opportunities. Responsibilities include contributing to the development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and five-year strategic plans. A key aspect of the role involves communicating financial health, goals, and opportunities through compelling narratives.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Working on projects across various Finance areas, such as evaluating new and existing business opportunities.
• Conducting research on industry and external trends and assessing their potential impact on ESPN.
• Collaborating with different departments to support the quarterly close process.
• Managing budgets and forecasts, financial consolidation, and variance analysis.
• Creating P&L forecasts for revenue and expenses, as well as cash flow forecasting.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to tell a compelling financial story, and a demonstrated passion for sports. Experience with data analytics tools and enterprise accounting software is preferred.
