About the Role & Job Description:
This internship within ESPN Finance provides opportunities to contribute to various financial projects. The intern will support the team in several key areas:
• Financial Analysis & Business Opportunity Evaluation: This includes assessing new and existing business ventures, researching industry trends and emerging technologies in the digital media landscape, and predicting their impact on ESPN’s financial performance.
• Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting: The intern will assist with the quarterly close process, budget management and forecasting, financial consolidation, and variance analysis. This involves creating P&L (Profit & Loss) forecasts for revenue and expenses, as well as cash flow forecasting.
• Storytelling through Financial Data: The intern will contribute to the communication of ESPN’s financial health, goals, and opportunities through data-driven narratives.
The role requires collaboration with various departments across the company. The intern will gain hands-on experience in analyzing business opportunities and contributing to critical financial processes.
