Job Description: Finance Intern (Summer 2025)
The New York Post’s Finance team is seeking a full-time intern for the summer of 2025 (June 2nd – August 8th). The internship will be a hybrid schedule. This role offers hands-on experience in various aspects of financial operations within a fast-paced media environment.
Responsibilities:
• Financial Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist the Finance Manager in preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Generate and analyze financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of key data. Contribute to weekly financial flash reports.
• Operational Support: Provide support for operational projects, including personnel planning, budgeting, and other financial analyses. Conduct account reconciliations.
• Ad-hoc Projects & Analysis: Contribute to ad-hoc reporting requests and special projects as needed, gaining exposure to diverse aspects of financial operations.
• Data Integrity: Help maintain financial integrity across multiple departments.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with a strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A willingness to learn and contribute to special projects with keen attention to detail.
Pay: $16.50 per hour.
