The TL;DR

• Team: Within a specific area of the finance team (Tax, Strategy, Controllership, or FP&A), with exposure to other functions.
• Mission: This person will support the finance department by assisting with budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and various ad hoc projects to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Tech Stack: SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks

What You’ll Actually Do
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Help prepare and review budgets and forecasts.
• Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Financial Reporting: Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Invoice & Expense Management: Assist with reviewing and processing vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
• Market Research: Conduct basic financial research on market trends, competitors, or investment opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience: Entry-level role; participation in a 9-week summer program.
• Skills: Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access applications.
