What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Processing: You will assist with coding invoices for accounts payable and contribute to accurate financial reporting, playing a key role in tracking expenditures within a construction setting.
• Compliance Support: You will support essential accounts payable and payroll compliance activities, helping to ensure the company adheres to all relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
• Project Accounting: You will actively assist the project accounting team in creating and executing critical change orders and purchase orders, directly impacting project budgets and progress.
• Departmental Engagement: You will participate fully in weekly department meetings, offering insights into daily financial activities and contributing to discussions around strategic financial goals.
• Data Management: You will assist with the comprehensive collection of financial data, meticulous recordkeeping, and the tracking of key financial metrics, which are vital for operational analysis and decision-making.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This Entry-Level position is for candidates currently enrolled in a college or university, actively pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics, or a related field. It offers a practical introduction to the financial aspects of the construction industry.
• Experience: Candidates should preferably have completed at least one year of relevant coursework. A strong, demonstrated interest in financial and accounting regulations and management is considered a key attribute for this role.
• Skills: You must exhibit strong professional and responsive communication skills, excellent organizational abilities for managing financial records, and effective problem-solving skills. The capacity to demonstrate initiative, accountability, ask questions, seek learning opportunities, and work both independently and as part of a team is essential.
• Bonus: Basic knowledge of construction accounting standards would be a significant advantage. Additionally, a willingness to work in field and jobsite environments, which may require walking on uneven surfaces and wearing appropriate PPE to gain exposure to operations, is a plus.
