The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Mission: Support the financial operations, reporting, and compliance of one of Valeo’s production sites to ensure accuracy and strategic financial planning.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Google Applications

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting & Planning: Support the preparation of financial closing reports, budgets, business plans, and forecasts for a production site.
• Compliance & Accuracy: Examine financial statements to ensure their accuracy and compliance with MAF and IFRS rules, with a specific focus on capitalized R&D expenses.
• Data Management: Organize, analyze, and maintain financial records to ensure the accuracy of management control and financial information within the site’s ERP system.
• Operational Analysis & Recommendations: Assess financial operations to identify risks and challenges, then recommend best practices for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit improvement.
• Audit & Special Projects: Assist with R&D Business Plan and Budget preparation, conduct ad-hoc financial analysis, and support internal and external audits for the region.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Entry-Level career level.
• Experience: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Skills: Financial statement analysis, financial reporting, regulatory compliance (MAF/IFRS), data organization, risk identification.
• Bonus: Proficiency with Excel and Google Applications.
