Job Description: Finance Intern (Summer)
This summer internship, located in Milpitas, CA, offers a chance to contribute to Flex’s finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the intern will participate in a variety of finance-related tasks, collaborating with the finance organization and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Financial Modeling and Analysis: Support the creation of financial models and conduct operational productivity analyses.
• Performance Metrics: Analyze and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for different areas, creating regular reports to provide visibility for the General Manager.
• Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes within the finance team. This includes documenting processes and potentially assisting with the initial implementation of automated reports.
• Lean Methodology Application: Actively participate in kaizen events to understand and apply Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, aiming to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Operational Support: Work closely with operations teams to understand their financial needs and provide support in financial decision-making processes.
• Team Participation: Attend team meetings and support various project work as required.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a master’s program pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Enthusiasm for working in a contract manufacturing environment.
• Strong collaborative, creative, and communication skills.
• Previous internship experience with a global organization (preferred).
Internship Program Requirements:
• Ability to work 40 hours per week in person for a 10-12 week summer assignment.
• Enrollment in a 4-year accredited university.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Pay Range (California): $20.68 – $28.44 USD per hour.
