Finance Co-Op/Intern | Precision Castparts
The Tone:
This is an internship at Precision Castparts, located on-site, supporting a long-term co-op program from Fall 2026 to Spring 2027. Precision Castparts operates in a manufacturing environment, indicated by occasional visits to the production floor and exposure to machinery. This role is crucial for assisting with core financial operations, contributing to reporting efficiency, and ensuring compliance with financial controls and company policies. It offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in finance within an industrial setting.
The TL;DR

• Tech Stack: Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP preferred)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting Support: Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and the preparation of journal entries to support financial operations.
• Data Analysis: Provide critical data analysis to the operations team to support informed decision-making processes.
• Efficiency Improvement: Automate daily reporting procedures to significantly improve overall efficiency in financial processes.
• Reconciliation & Compliance: Prepare and review month-end balance sheet reconciliations and support internal controls and SOX compliance testing.
• Financial Preparation: Assist with financial statement preparation, statistical reporting, and perform various ad hoc tasks as assigned.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; Junior or senior standing preferred with anticipated graduation in 2027.
• Experience: Coursework or experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting.
• Skills: Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP preferred), strong communication and analytical skills, detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Bonus: Previous internship, work, or corporate experience is a plus but not required.
