Job description
Position Summary:
This is an exciting learning opportunity for a Finance Intern within a leading non-profit organization, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. The role offers the chance to gain firsthand knowledge of accounting and finance operations that are crucial to the organization’s mission, providing exposure to the overall field of Finance and Operations. The Foundation is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented, and self-starter candidate with strong interpersonal and communication skills. This is a hybrid internship, requiring 2 days per week in the Foundation’s New York City office and 2 days per week remote, totaling 20 hours per week. The Spring Internship program is scheduled to run from February 9 to April 2.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Assist the Finance Department with all administrative aspects during the Workday ERP go-live.
• Provide administrative support for the 2025 Year End Audit.
• Assist with Board preparation.
• Undertake special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated interest in Accounting and Finance areas of focus.
• Required knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Interest and comfort level with data analytics.
• Must be proactive, self-directed, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Ability to work independently, particularly in a virtual setting.
• Ability to interact professionally with multiple and diverse cross-departmental stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines (with supervision).
