Co-Op, Finance | Precision Castparts
The Tone:
This is a Co-Op position at Precision Castparts, located in Irvine, CA. Precision Castparts, through its PCC Fasteners division, offers extensive product lines for virtually all aerospace fastening applications, alongside producing fasteners, precision components, tooling, and engineered system solutions for the automotive, defense, industrial machinery, and other performance-driven markets. This role is crucial for students pursuing careers in finance or accounting, providing hands-on experience, contributing meaningfully to business operations, and fostering professional growth within a corporate finance setting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analysis: Apply academic knowledge to real-world financial analysis, reporting, and accounting projects within the company.
• Support: Support the accounting team in achieving performance goals and progressively take on more responsibility during the co-op rotation.
• Improvements: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across financial operations.
• Management: Own and manage assigned projects from start to finish, holding accountability for their outcomes.
• Collaboration: Assist with system analysis, testing, and documentation for current financial processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is required, alongside a strong foundational knowledge of finance or accounting principles.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Bonus: Familiarity with financial software is a plus, and candidates must be a U.S. Person or have the ability to obtain export authorization.
