The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Amazon, located in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA. Amazon is a global technology company known for its extensive e-commerce operations, cloud computing services, and a wide range of devices and services. This role is crucial as interns are given significant responsibility to drive both business and financial decisions from day one. Interns will evaluate and quantify new business ideas and perform data-intensive analyses, ultimately delivering results and improving how Amazon serves its customers.

• Pay: $80200–$99300 yearly
• Team: Finance and Global Business Services (FGBS) organization, including AWS, Devices and Services, Operations Finance, Central FP&A, and the Stores organization.
• Mission: Drive business and financial decisions and deliver results through ownership of an individual intern project.
• Tech Stack: Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, VBA)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive Resolution: Dive deep into data to support recommendations and drive resolution for an individual intern project.
• Identify Opportunities: Conduct financial analysis to help identify capital investment requirements and/or cost reduction opportunities.
• Enable Action: Design and maintain insightful reporting to enable business partners to take action.
• Communicate Results: Interpret and communicate project results and standard work to finance and business partner leadership.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in finance, economics, accounting, business administration and management, or a related field.
• Experience: Ability to complete a 12-week internship starting in May or June 2027, working 40 hours/week. Must have a graduation conferral date between December 2027 and June 2028. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
• Skills: Ability to conduct data-intensive analyses, strong financial analysis skills, capability in designing and maintaining insightful reporting, and effective communication of project results.
• Bonus: Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and VBA. Strong academic, leadership, and/or extracurricular record. Understanding of business fundamentals and accounting concepts. Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with a focus on delivering business results. Demonstrated track record of using data and metrics to make decisions and build scalable solutions. Ability to influence across all levels of an organization. Ability to act strategically and make decisions under ambiguity. Strong organizational and time management skills.
