Finance Assistant | Customand
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Customand, located in Chicago, Illinois — 100% Remote. Customand supports moving and relocation services, including customer scheduling, packing, transportation, storage, assembly, sales, and operations. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth financial operations, and providing essential administrative support to various teams across the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Data Entry: Enter and organize approved financial transactions, invoices, receipts, expense records, or supporting documents.
• Reconciliation Assistance: Assist with account reconciliations and investigate routine discrepancies under established procedures.
• Documentation Maintenance: Maintain organized finance files, schedules, trackers, and supporting documentation across operations.
• Reporting Preparation: Prepare recurring financial summaries, payment status reports, or spreadsheet updates for the team.
• Information Coordination: Coordinate routine finance questions or missing documentation with the appropriate internal team.
• Data Confidentiality: Protect confidential banking, customer, vendor, and company financial information.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Basic understanding of bookkeeping, invoices, expenses, payments, or reconciliations is helpful.
• Experience: Comfort using accounting or finance systems, spreadsheets, and shared documents.
• Skills: Strong numerical accuracy, spreadsheet proficiency, organization, attention-to-detail, clear written communication, reliable follow-through on missing information, and high discretion when handling financial records.
