Internal Audit Intern- Spring 2027 | Medpace

The Tone:
This is a flexible, paid Internal Audit Internship at Medpace, located in Cincinnati, OH. Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO) with over 6,500 employees across 40+ countries, dedicated to accelerating the global development of safe and effective medical therapeutics for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. This internship is crucial for ensuring the organization’s systems and processes are robust, compliant, and efficient, by identifying risks and proposing improvements that contribute to Medpace’s mission of advancing clinical research excellence.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Ownership: Own the full audit lifecycle, from planning and scoping to fieldwork testing, risk ranking, and final reporting.
• Reporting Documentation: Document audit findings and results in professional, concise papers for the management team.
• Information Analysis: Collect, examine, and analyze information from various organizational documents to verify system and process integrity.
• Recommendation Development: Develop actionable recommendations to minimize risk and enhance performance and productivity within systems and processes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure organizational adherence to all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5; advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Skills: Highly organized, high attention to detail, deadline oriented, excellent analytical skills, excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills, ability to establish and maintain good relationships with all levels of management, team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision if needed.
