The Revenue Accountant supports the core mission by managing complex revenue streams and upholding GAAP standards, allowing businesses to move with greater confidence.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Assist in preparing the monthly financial package, including key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
• Compliance: Apply ASC 606 standards to revenue recognition across diverse contracts and arrangements while ensuring compliance with GAAP financial reporting.
• Allocation: Perform multi-element arrangement (MEA) allocations and accurately account for complex revenue streams.
• Accounting: Manage contract accounting, including accounting upon delivery and milestone-based recognition, and prepare/post related journal entries.
• Support: Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, conduct revenue reconciliations, and assist with audits by providing necessary documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, demonstrating core domain knowledge in financial accounting.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in revenue accounting or a related role, with experience in MEA allocations and complex contract structures.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP financials, solid understanding of deferred revenue and unbilled revenue, and strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Bonus: CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred, along with proficiency in Sage Intacct, especially its contracts module.
