2027 Summer Intern, Finance & Accounting Leadership Accelerator | Bristol Myers Squibb

The Tone:
This is a 10-week paid summer internship at Bristol Myers Squibb, located in Central New Jersey. Bristol Myers Squibb is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to transforming patients’ lives through science and innovative breakthroughs. This role offers college students hands-on exposure to corporate finance and accounting, contributing to meaningful work that impacts patients and the careers of those involved.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage: Participate in a 10-week paid internship within Bristol Myers Squibb’s Global Finance community, gaining hands-on exposure to corporate accounting and finance.
• Execute: Take on real-world assignments across a broad range of areas, including controllership, technical accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis, global internal audit, and commercial finance.
• Present: Develop and deliver a capstone presentation to finance leadership at the end of the summer, showcasing project outcomes and learnings.
• Grow: Receive mentorship from finance leaders and participate in professional development workshops to enhance your skills and understanding of the industry.
• Network: Build a strong professional network across the organization, with top-performing interns strongly considered for full-time opportunities upon graduation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled student, on track to graduate by Spring 2028, seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution. This is an Entry-Level role.
• Experience: Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; strong analytical skills and an understanding of data analytics; curiosity about AI and automation tools; proven capability to effectively communicate and adapt messages to various audiences.
• Bonus: Planning to sit for the Uniform CPA and/or CMA examination upon graduation; previous finance and/or accounting internship experience; demonstrated leadership experience; exposure or proficiency in manipulating large sets of data; completion of accredited Excel or data visualization tool certificate program or course; desire to work towards a leadership role in a large BioPharma company; strong time management skills and the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
