The Tone:
This is a full-time, entry-level travelling role at 84 Lumber, covering locations nationwide. 84 Lumber is the nation’s largest privately held supplier of building materials, manufactured components and industry-leading services for residential and commercial construction. This position offers hands-on experience in store operations with the ultimate goal of progressing up the ladder into a leadership role within the company, supporting store operations across various locations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Support: Support daily product handling and retail sales operations across various locations.
• Material Handling: Operate forklifts and obtain certification for efficient freight handling.
• Inventory Management: Manage merchandising activities, inventory control, and reduction initiatives.
• Project Estimation: Create accurate material estimates directly from blueprints.
• Operational Projects: Assist with special projects aimed at addressing staffing and operational needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Possess a high school diploma or GED-equivalent.
• Experience: No specific years required; must have familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skills: Ability to support retail sales, manage inventory, operate forklifts (or willingness to learn/certify), and interpret blueprints for material estimation.
• Bonus: Must be willing to relocate for future management positions.
