Job Title / Summary

Job Description Summary: This intern position will assist in the administration of the field office to achieve project profitability and schedule goals.

Position Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various administrative and project support tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Update and maintain all sets of project drawings, specifications, and related logs.
  • Prepare and distribute project documents to subcontractors.
  • Maintain comprehensive document logs.
  • Assist with the maintenance and updating of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
  • Support in determining weekly labor production quantities.
  • Assist with the processing of submittals.
  • Maintain an organized submittal log.
  • Assist with the processing of Requests for Information (RFI’s).
  • Maintain the RFI log on the CMS system.
  • Maintain an expediting log to track critical items.
  • Assist in the overall project filing system maintenance.
  • Input data for labor cost reports and field quantity surveys.
  • Assist with Affirmative Action program documentation.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the field office administration.

Minimum Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree completed or in progress, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Basic estimating and scheduling skills are desirable.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
  • Effective written and verbal English language communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and demonstrate a self-starting attitude.
  • Drafting and computer skills are desirable.
