The TL;DR

• Mission: This intern solves IT infrastructure and support challenges to ensure seamless operations and growth across Copart’s global facilities.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, VoIP systems, SharePoint platform

What You’ll Actually Do
• Implement IT installations: Implement new IT installations, services, and changes across headquarters, offices, and yards.
• Provide IT Support: Provide remote and on-site assistance for network, desktop, and voice equipment, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Manage IT Logistics: Coordinate IT equipment moves, additions, changes, and decommissioning across various facilities to support operational growth.
• Maintain IT Infrastructure: Monitor and troubleshoot data circuits, telecommunications, and ensure operational status of phone lines.
• Document and Inventory: Meticulously document IT equipment inventory and update project details in Copart’s SharePoint platform.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with basic knowledge of telecommunications, LAN cabling, and data circuits.
• Experience: Experience with physical network and PC equipment installations.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio; excellent communication and customer service skills; strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills; understanding of cabling infrastructure and relevant standards; self-motivated with the ability to exercise good judgment under pressure.
• Bonus: Strong project management abilities; knowledge of data networking and telecommunications.
