What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and Implement: Design, implement, optimize, test, cutover, and document advanced communication systems in collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales teams.
• Install and Configure: Oversee onsite installation and perform onsite/remote configuration of network, server, and RF equipment, providing as-built and as-configured documentation.
• Troubleshoot and Verify: Conduct onsite and remote troubleshooting of networks, servers, databases, and RF infrastructure, ensuring system logs and event monitoring applications are clear of faults.
• Test and Optimize: Perform acceptance testing and performance verification/optimization of advanced digital and legacy analog RF infrastructure, correcting deficiencies and documenting accepted test results and baseline measurements.
• Solve and Maintain: Design/develop solutions for difficult technical issues encountered during system implementation, upgrades, or support, and perform preventative maintenance routines with trend analysis.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional with 4+ years in LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Telecommunications, Public Safety, or related engineering/networking fields. Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance and legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
• Experience: 4+ years in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Frequency, Radio Communications, Two-Way Radio, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Motorola equipment, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering, IP Networking, Solutions Architecture, ASTRO 25, P25, WAVE VoIP, or Military. Proficient in computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance including cabling, routers, switches, and firewalls. Experience with server virtualization (VMware ESXi v.6+, Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+), Windows Server OS (2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2019), and workstation OS (Windows 7 & 10). Experience with HP and Juniper switches, routers, and firewalls. Experience working on Project 25 (trunked and conventional) products and with Motorola base stations (Quantar, G-Series), consoles (MCC7500, AXS), Astro25 Master Site, Astro 25 Multisite, and ASR equipment.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN IP networks, with a unique combination of multi-site RF communications systems and computer/networking skills. Knowledge of secure products/protocols (KMF, KVL, AES) and RF systems (transmitters, receivers, filters, antenna networks). Experience with standard telephony, dedicated data circuits, and packet-switching techniques. Skilled in communication test equipment (S412E LMR Master, Viavi 3920B), RF power sensors, Ethernet test sets (Anritsu 9090A, VeeX MTX150, T-BERD 5800), T1 test sets, and TIMS. Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, and Google G-Suite applications. Excellent communication skills, strong self-management skills, and a valid driver’s license.
• Bonus: Pursuing or holding at least one industry network certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Juniper JNCIA, Cisco CCNA, Nokia NRS1).
