Job Description: Field and Laboratory Testing Technician (Student Position)

This position offers a valuable opportunity for a student pursuing a science or related degree to gain practical experience in materials testing within a dynamic consulting firm.

General Responsibilities:

This role primarily involves conducting field and laboratory testing of construction materials, specifically focusing on concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates.

Essential Roles And Responsibilities:

• Performs sampling and testing procedures as directed by senior staff.
• Provides support and assistance to other field and/or laboratory personnel in various tasks.
• Transports essential equipment, material specimens, or important documents to field personnel, the laboratory, clients, or other company offices.
• Offers physical assistance with equipment setup at testing sites.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment by cleaning equipment, vehicles, and designated work areas.
• Assists other technicians or professional staff with routine assignments and projects.
• Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility, allowing for continuous professional development and expanded work assignments.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: High school diploma and actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a science or related field such as Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or Geology.
• Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their BS degree, indicating proximity to graduation and a strong foundation in relevant academic disciplines.
